Nutrition
Month in the eyes of the youth
Poster making, a annual event during nutrition month in every school across the nation.
Every 7th month of the year the government's health department and most of the schools across the nation celebrate the Nutrition month but how does young and the youth understand this special annual event?
''Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin,
araw-araw itong ihain''
In English "Eating vegetables should be practice and to be served everyday" is this years nutrition month theme it basically means that eating vegetables should be eaten everyday so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
So how does the youth understand this... well basically they think that the goverment wants them to eat the said food group everyday to where it is considered as a same equal level to rice which many of us cannot live without.
Many others disagree with the theme today because the other food groups hold other important nutrients to which the veggie doesn't have. My colleague even said to me that it should be “ISKARGU” an acronym that means ISda, KArne, GUlay (in english fish, meat, vegetables respectably) in order to have proper nutrition.

HOW
CAN THIS AFFECT A YOUTH’S BODY?
If you’re a vegetarian you
may be immune to this but if you are a meat-lover you’re not, in the
possibility of having “veggie fatigue”. As
much as you can have more, you can’t have much because our bodies do need other
things like protein, iodine, fats and oils(yes, but not too much) and others
that can be found in poultry and other sea foods.
Plus as an mid-age
adult you may know this that some veggies has some limitations like for
example, beans, too much of that and the result of that will be piles of health
problems like arthritis, kidney stones, gallstones, hypertension (for peeps who
don’t get, it’s simply high blood) and forgot to mention you can also emit a
much more worse gas from your backside (and nobody wants that).
HOW
SHOULD THE YOUTH MAINTAIN HIS/HER PROPER NUTRITION?
Too much something can kill you and that’s a fact, you
must follow what is required at your age though it’s okay to follow the chart
(e.g. the food pyramid) but you should remember to follow what your body needs
and another thing your looks came from what you eat.
